Idols Aside Ministries is a 501(c)(3) corporation and a Christ-centered ministry entrusted by God to Mark and Becky Wright in 2009. This ministry focuses on providing spiritual guidance, emotional support, and mentoring to fatherless and struggling youth. Our mission is to establish strong relationships, provide continual discipleship and guidance while modeling Christ through sports camps, hunting retreats and our unique mentor program specifically geared for young adults aging out of foster care.

Idols Aside has four main programs:

Me Without You- a mentoring program for young adults aging out of the foster care system.
This program trains adult mentors to invest regularly by pouring love, support and guidance in all areas of their mentees lives. Statistics show that without this type of eternal investment, we will continue to see devastating effects of homelessness, trafficking, unplanned pregnancies, drugs, abuse and incarcerations. We must be the hands and feet of Christ. Our goal is to live out Isaiah 1:17: "Learn to do good. Seek justice. Help the oppressed. Defend the cause of orphans. Fight for the rights of widows."

Auburndale Community Outreach & Feeding Program- a feeding program for those in the Auburndale community who oftentimes have access to only one meal a day. This time of fellowship has been a powerful way to build relationships in the community and share the good news of Jesus Christ.

Sons Without Fathers - a program that offers outdoor and hunting retreats for at-risk and fatherless youth. These retreats are held at the Idols Aside Lodge and are an effective way to share the love of a Heavenly Father who longs to know and have a relationship with them.

Super Moms - a program that ministers to single moms in our community through retreats at the Idols Aside Lodge. This is a time for mom to find the kind of refreshment and encouragement that only God's Word and His love can bring.

Idols Aside is privileged to partner with many professional athletes at our sports camps and outdoor retreats. These camps and retreats give these athletes an opportunity to make positive Christ-centered changes in the lives of at-risk youth. Idols Aside also provides on-going discipleship and accountability for the athletes who partner with our ministry.
